Michael has over a decade of experience as an investor in public and private companies globally and across all sectors of the economy.

Prior to founding Southeast Acquisition Capital, Michael served as an equity portfolio manager at MAPFRE Asset Management in Madrid, Spain. At MAPFRE, he co-managed $100M in equity funds, including the MAPFRE AM Good Governance Fund, a global ESG fund, which performed in the top decile of its global peer group.

 

Previously, Michael founded Atlantica Capital Consulting, an advisory firm providing capital markets consulting for private and public companies. He also served as an equity analyst for Jetstream Capital, a $500M global equity hedge fund and helped launch Jetstream Ventures, a family office impact fund, both headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee. Additionally, Michael worked as an analyst at two Southeast-based investment banks, Stephens Inc. and Avondale Partners.

Michael graduated magna cum laude with a BA in Economics and Business from Kalamazoo College and received an Executive MBA at IE Business School in Madrid, Spain, where he later served as an Adjunct Professor of Finance.
